You will be dealing with a registered training organization with an enviable reputation, leading the industry in quality course delivery and total customer satisfaction. We have fully qualified and experienced instructors, selected for their helpful and patient attitudes as well as their skills. Our comprehensive training courses are easy to follow, designed to accommodate everyone, from the first time boatie to the more experienced.

Sunshine Coast BoatSafe approved Recreational Marine Driver Licence (RMDL) Courses and Personal Water Craft Licence (PWCL) Courses generally commence at our air conditioned training centre at the corner of Nicklin Way and Production Avenue, Warana (within the North Coast Boating complex) with practical training on the Maroochy River.

We can also provide practical training on Pumicestone Passage or the Mooloolah River.

We regularly visit Borumba Dam at Imbil to deliver the BoatSafe courses and offer regular courses in the South Burnett district at Bjelke Petersen Dam near Murgon and Boondooma Dam near Proston.

• RMDL courses generally start at 8am and take around 8 hours depending on student numbers on the day.
• PWCL courses take around 2 hours depending on numbers and can be run at varying times, even before or after work during the week.

Both courses can be completed on the same day and are offered at one of our locations every weekend and on alternating Wednesdays and Thursdays, varying between these locations.

Check out our training calendar (below) or contact us to see if we have a course that suits you. If we don’t have one currently planned that suits you, courses can be provided at other times and locations by arrangement. Larger groups, schools, and clubs can also be accommodated.

We supply the boat and the Jet Ski for the courses. Our purpose built boat is designed with candidates' safety, comfort and enjoyment in mind. Our 3 seater Jet Ski is also government approved for licence training and assessment.  

A BoatSafe workbook is provided for each student attending the course. You retain this for future reference – there is no need to supply your own. No previous experience is necessary and no prior study or coursework is required. If you would prefer to prepare for the day we can provide information to help you.

As we regularly train and assess young people less than 18 years of age, we have developed a Child Protection Risk Management Strategy in accordance with the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian Act 2000. However persons under 15 years and 6 months are not eligible to attend the courses and are not permitted at the training. Flexible training is available for candidates who need to make arrangements due to family or other commitments.

RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) or Remote Study Flexible Learning are available to approved applicants, subject to Queensland government eligibility criteria.
