Remote Learning

Introduction

Thank you for considering Allstate Boat Licensing & Training for your Marine Drivers Licensing Course Remote Learning (flexible learning).

This remote study package (flexible learning) is designed for students, who for some reason cannot attend the entire BoatSafe Approved Training Course in a classroom situation, with the assistance of our qualified trainers & assessors.

This home study course (flexible learning) will require you to learn at your pace, using the provided literature. There is no time limit for you to complete this learning exercise.

Course Content

• You will be required to study the BoatSafe Work Book and complete the activities after each module.
• You will be required to properly research each module to ensure you have the correct answers in the activity section of that module.
• You are advised to utilize the Recreational Boating & Fishing book included in this package for additional information.

In addition to the BoatSafe Work Book activities, there is a multiple choice question paper, which you should complete. Once again you must research your enclosed literature to achieve these answers.

When you are satisfied with you study and completed answers, you can make an appointment with the Instructor for your final stage of this course. Your instructor will conduct the following:

1. Have you complete a validation examination to ensure you meet the required
   Competencies as set by Maritime Safety Queensland.
2. Conduct a practical on water Training and Assessment period with you on our vessel
   to ensure you have the necessary skills required for your Marine Drivers Licence.
